Welcome to Wychbold First and Nursery School

Wychbold First and Nursery school is a small village school in the heart of Wychbold, serving a wide catchment from Droitwich and Bromsgrove.

Our term-time only pre-school Wren's Nursery takes children from 3 years old. Children learn with us until the end of year 4 aged 8 - 9.

We pride ourselves on our caring and safe environment, children settle well and flourish.

We are proud to be part of The Rivers C.of E. Academy Trust, a group of 15 settings in Worcestershire and the West Midlands.

Our School

Wychbold First and Nursery School is a purpose built village school catering for children aged three to nine. The school prides itself on its happy, caring atmosphere where children want to learn and are keen to come to school each day. This is due to the development of good relationships between all members of the school community as everyone is valued.

We aim to educate the whole child, developing confident learners who have a keen sense of responsibility for their own learning success. Our curriculum is rich and varied ensuring that children have many opportunities to develop their knowledge, skills and personal talents.

Working in partnership with parents and carers is key to our pupils success and we maintain an ‘open door’ policy to ensure excellent communication.

Our staff are talented, experienced and dedicated to achieving every pupils potential. Alongside our Governors they strive to make Wychbold a happy and successful school.

Our People

Wychbold First and Nursery School achieves such great outcomes due to the ‘Wychbold United’ team. Pupils, parents, staff, Governors and volunteers working together for the benefit of our children and families.

Parents' Information

We welcome parents and carers into Wychbold First and Nursery School believing we are partners in the education of your children. There are many opportunities for parents to become involved in the life of our school and to gain a greater understanding of our work. Parents’ support and expertise can be used in many ways and is greatly valued. Safeguarding DBS checks are carried out on all adults working in school. If you are able to help, please talk to your child’s teacher.

Communication with Parents

The best way to keep in touch with what is happening in school is through our weekly newsletter. This will keep you up to date with school events, dates for your diary and what we have been getting up to over the past week.
 

For any questions or concerns, the best person to speak to is your child's class teacher. Classroom doors open 10 minutes before lessons start so that you have the opportunity to speak to teachers at the start of the day.

Classes

We are a one form entry First school.  This means that there are up to 30 children in a classroom and there is only one class per year group.
