Mental Health & Wellbeing

At Wychbold, supporting all children to thrive is at the heart of what we do. We firmly believe that, by supporting the whole child, we can help all children to reach their true potential. A huge part of this work is through the way that we support children's mental health and wellbeing. We all need a little support with this from time to time and, by forging strong and trusting relationships and intervening early, we can provide this for all children in our school.

Our staff team are all kept up to date with relevant training to keep everyone in school safe. This includes first aiders, mental health leads and staff trained in positive handling.

We work closely with Fiona Yoward and Katie Jenks, who are our Wellbeing and Emotional Support Team practitioners. They work across a range of families to support with maximising mental health and wellbeing. You can find out a little more about Fiona below.
