Supporting Families

At Wychbold First and Nursery School, we recognise that bringing up children can sometimes be challenging. We believe that everyone may need help at different times, and we are committed to providing early support wherever possible. If you ever feel that you or your child may need additional help, please do not hesitate to speak to us.

There are many ways in which we can support families, as outlined in our Supporting Families document. This includes working in partnership with you to plan tailored support through an Early Help Assessment, where we can agree shared goals and work together to achieve positive outcomes for your child and family.

All staff are aware of our school’s Early Help offer and consider how we can provide timely support to ensure every child is able to thrive.

Our Early Help offer is outlined in the document below. We believe that early intervention can be key in preventing difficulties from escalating and in removing potential barriers to a child’s wellbeing and development.

Supporting families means providing help as soon as a concern arises, at any stage of a child’s life, from birth through to the teenage years. Worcestershire County Council oversees a wide range of services for children and young people, and we can help families access additional support where needed.
